Why we started · আমরা কেন শুরু করেছি

Buying online in Bangladesh is easy until something goes wrong. A picture that was not the product. A price that grew at the door. A number nobody answers after the parcel is paid for. Most of what makes online shopping tiring is not the shipping — it is not knowing what you are actually going to get.

The Mir is our attempt at the plain version. We list what a thing is, what it costs and whether it is in stock, and we do not write a word we cannot stand behind. You pay when the parcel is in your hands. If something is wrong with it, you talk to us and we sort it out.

It is not a complicated idea. It is simply the shop we would want to buy from.

অনলাইনে কেনাকাটা সহজ — যতক্ষণ না কিছু একটা ভুল হয়। ছবিতে এক জিনিস, হাতে আরেক জিনিস। দরজায় এসে বেড়ে যাওয়া দাম। পণ্যের টাকা দেওয়ার পর আর কেউ ফোন ধরে না। অনলাইনে কেনাকাটার বড় ঝামেলাটা আসলে ডেলিভারি নয় — আপনি ঠিক কী পাচ্ছেন, সেটা না জানা।

দ্য মির সেই সরল জায়গাটাতেই দাঁড়াতে চায়। পণ্যটি কী, দাম কত আর স্টকে আছে কি না — আমরা তা পরিষ্কার করে লিখি, আর যা প্রমাণ করা যায় না তেমন কোনো কথা লিখি না। পণ্য হাতে পাওয়ার পর টাকা দেবেন। কিছু ভুল হলে আমাদের জানাবেন, আমরা সমাধান করব।

জটিল কোনো ভাবনা নয়। আমরা নিজেরা যেমন দোকান থেকে কিনতে চাই, সেটাই।

Ordering, in four steps · চার ধাপে অর্ডার

  1. Find it

    Search, or walk the shelves in the shop. Every listing shows its price and whether it is in stock.
    সার্চ করুন বা ক্যাটাগরি ঘুরে দেখুন। প্রতিটি পণ্যের দাম আর স্টক আছে কি না, দুটোই লেখা থাকে।

  2. Add to the basket

    Pick the size or colour where a product has options, then add it. The basket keeps what you chose.
    পণ্যের অপশন থাকলে সাইজ বা রং বেছে নিয়ে কার্টে যোগ করুন। কার্টে আপনার বাছাই জমা থাকবে।

  3. Give the address

    Name, phone and where to deliver. The delivery charge is worked out from your district and shown before you confirm.
    নাম, ফোন নম্বর আর ঠিকানা দিন। আপনার জেলা অনুযায়ী ডেলিভারি চার্জ অর্ডার নিশ্চিত করার আগেই দেখানো হবে।

  4. Pay at the door

    Check the parcel, then pay the rider. There is nothing to pay online and no card details to hand over.
    পার্সেল দেখে নিয়ে রাইডারকে টাকা দিন। অনলাইনে কিছু দিতে হয় না, কার্ডের তথ্যও দিতে হয় না।

What we will not do. We will not ask for money before the parcel reaches you, we will not ask for your card or mobile-banking PIN, and we will not put a number on this website that we cannot back up.
